The Bemidji State men defeated Mary last night 83-52. BSU led for nearly 37 minutes of game time. Sophomore Max Bjorklund and Junior Derek Thompson each scored 16 points, Nick Wagner tallied 14 points and had 6 rebounds, which was most on the team. Senior Ja Morgan also posted 11 points. The Beavers have now won 3 of their last 4 games after dropping 7 straight.
BSU wraps up the weekend with a 5:30 p.m. tipoff Saturday at Minot State, which lost to UM Crookston 80-69 last night. BSU enters the contest (11-12, 8-11), while MiSU is (10-15, 4-15).
The Series vs Minot State
- Bemidji State leads the all-time series against Minot State, 12-11.
- Minot State has won seven of the last eight games versus Bemidji State, including the first meeting of the 2019-20 season, 74-67, on Jan. 24 in Bemidji.
- Bjorklund scored a game-high 19 points with a team-high five rebounds while sophomore forward Cody Landwehr followed with 15 points off the bench. Landwehr’s 15 points was his first time in double-digits since returning from injury on Jan. 10. Bader, Thompson and Wagner also scored in double-figures against MiSU in the starting lineup.
