No. 13 BSU travels to Alaska Anchorage for final road series of the regular season
The Bemidji State University men’s hockey team is back on the road this weekend for its final Western Collegiate Hockey Association road series of the 2019-20 season in a two-game matchup at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
The Beavers currently hold down the second spot in the WCHA standings, trailing Minnesota State University, Mankato by five points with four games left on the docket. With a head-to-head matchup with the Mavericks set for Sanford Center, Feb. 28-29, the Beavers can keep hopes of a shot at the MacNaughton cup and their second WCHA regular-season title if they take care of business in Anchorage this weekend.
Riding a five-game winning stream and owning a 10-1-1 record since the beginning of the new year, BSU opens its series with UAA having won six of the last seven meetings with the Seawolves, which includes three consecutive wins over UAA on its home ice. In all, BSU holds a 17-3-4 record versus UAA since the series began in 2010 and is 7-1-2 in games played in Anchorage.
The series will get underway at 10:07 p.m. Friday and the series finale is set for an 8:07 p.m. opening faceoff.
