The Bemidji State University softball team travels to West St. Paul, Minn., for the second time this season and will host Minnesota State University, Moorhead and No. 12 Winona State University for a pair of non-conference doubleheaders beginning Tuesday, March 2 and ending Wednesday, March 3.

The Beavers return to action after having 10 days off and last played Feb. 20-21 at the Air-Supported Dome Invitational in Minot, N.D. Bemidji State is 2-6 on the season after having lost its past three games and stands 10th in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference standings.
Bemidji State is led offensively by senior Lisa Kossan who has batted .400 with eight hits in 20 at bats early this season. Senior Sami Dullum has driven in the most runs for the Beavers and is tied for fifth in the NSIC with eight RBI.
In the circle, BSU senior Stephi Dullum leads the team with a 2-0 record, 1.50 earned run average and has totaled 17 strikeouts in 9.1 innings of work. Dullum ranks seventh in the NSIC in ERA (1.50), ninth in opposing batting average (.205) and seventh in strikeouts (17). She is joined by freshman Stella Dolan who leads the team with 10.1 innings pitched and has posted a 4.06 ERA and 15 strikeouts.
For MSU-Moorhead, the March 2-3 tournament will be the Dragons’ first action of the 2021 season. The Dragons went 4-10 last season before the 2020 season was halted.
Winona State enters the week’s play ranked 12th in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll and started its season with two wins against Southwest Minnesota State University, Feb. 19.
Katie Kolb led the Warriors in their season opening series by batting .500 with three hits including a double and drove in one RBI. Libby Neveau and Rylee Stout each led the team with three RBI.
In the circle, Jordyn Kleman led the team with a 0.88 ERA in eight innings for their first victory while Liz Pautz followed with a 2.33 ERA in six innings of work.
