Beavers finish eighth at EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite
The Bemidji State University women’s golf team finished eighth of 10 teams at the EverSpring Inn & Suites Mustang Invite Sunday afternoon after carding a team score of 666 (337-329).
The Beavers were led by sophomore Mollie Albrecht who fired a career-low 157 (82-75), including a career-low round of 75 the second day, to finish tied for 13th individually.
Albrecht was followed by Maddy Sawyer who placed 43rd with a score of 169 (81-88) while Katie Leblanc (88-83=171), Jocelyn Nyblom (86-85=171) and Morgan Sammon (90-86=176) rounded out the Beavers top five.
Augustana University took home the team title with a score do 603 (299-304) and led second place Gustavus Adolphus College by 17 strokes (309-311=620). Augustana’s Molly Stevens took hom the individual title with a tournament record, two-under par 142 (69-73).
Albrecht and the rest of the BSU women’s golf squad conclude the fall season this weekend by competing at the Augustana Fall Invite at Elmwood Golf Course in Sioux Falls, S.D., Oct. 2-3.
