BSU takes 11th-place slot at SMSU Spring Invite
Bemidji State University women’s golf finished in the 11th-place position during the 2022 Southwest Minnesota State University Spring Invite this week.
The Beavers were led by sophomore Mollie Albrecht who finished day one with a score of 88 and was tied for 51st after 18 holes. In day two, Albrecht jumped four places to 47th by adding a score of 86 to her card. Maddy Sawyer followed Albrecht, tying for 60th-place with a total score of 184.
BSU finished the tournament in the 11th-place slot, scoring 741 over the two-day tournament. University of Colorado- Colorado Springs earned the top spot, marking a score of 633, just 65 over par.
The Beavers now have some time off from competition before heading to Ames, Iowa Mar. 28 and 29 for the Jimmie Spring Swing hosted by University of Jamestown. The Spring Swing will be held at Ames Golf and Country Club.
