Beavers tab 11th-place finish at The Mule in Warrensburg, Mo.
Bemidji State University men’s golf team traveled to Warrensburg, Mo. this week where the team finished 11th among 21 teams. This was the Beavers’ final tournament before the NSIC Championships mid-April.
BSU was led by fifth-year senior Brandon Nelson, who marked a 217 total in the par 210 tournament. Nelson brings home a 32nd-place tying finish and the top spot on the Beavers’ lineup. Behind Nelson, Jack Southard found his spot amongst fellow 43rd-place finishers with a final score of 219. One stroke behind Southard was Koby Kuenzel with a 220 finish and 49th position tie.
Brandon Nelson holds the top spot on the Beavers’ lineup this season, competing in 16 rounds with a total score of 1,181, a 74.2 average per round. In second place is Koby Kuenzel who has marked a 1,222 score over his 16 rounds in his sophomore season.
The Beavers now look to prepare for the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships on Apr. 14-16 in Blue Springs, Mo. Last year, the Beavers finished second in the conference with Chris Swenson taking home the NSIC Singles Championship title.
