Beaver Fever Friday – TJ Raden – Mens Golf

The Bemidji State University Men’s Golf team has been picked to finish second in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll announced by the league Wednesday afternoon. The Beavers earned two first-place votes and finished 10 points behind Winona State University.

Fifth-year senior Ben Corbid was tabbed as the Beavers’ Preseason Golfer to Watch after posting a 76.3 scoring average in 10 rounds last year.

The Bemidji State University men’s golf team returns nine letterwinners from the 2021-22 season that saw the Beavers finish fourth at the NSIC Championships last spring. Corbid is joined by senior Seth Schricker who was third on the team with a 76.3 scoring average last season and also tied for 10th at the NSIC Championship. The Beavers will have a total of seven upperclassmen leading the squad in 2022-23 including four of the team’s top five scorers from last year. 13-year head coach Ekren Miller added five newcomers to the 2022-23 BSU men’s golf team in Cody Card, Caden Lick, Finn McLaughlin, Rylin Petry and Logan Schoepp.
