Beavers to race in one of the largest collegiate cross-country meets
The Bemidji State University women’s cross-country team competes in their second meet of the season Friday, Sept. 23 as the Beavers run 6,00-meters at the Roy Griak Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in Falcon Heights, Minn.
After a fifth-place finish in the first meet of the season the Beavers look to continue strong at one of the largest collegiate cross-country meets in the US. Setting a program record at the Dragon Twilight, junior Mary Goodwin looks to keep the pace up in the 6,000-meter race in Falcon Heights. The Beavers will be sending the whole team to compete on Friday’s race.
Last year the Beavers finished 18th out of 28 teams. Leading the team last year was Goodwin with a time of 23:52.3 placing 46 out of almost 300 runners.
