BSU Cross Country travels to Moorhead for Dragon Twilight this Friday night
It will be a second straight night meet for the Bemidji State University Cross Country team as they will travel to Moorhead this Friday night to run in the Dragon Twilight starting at 7:30 p.m.
The Beavers opened the 2023 fall season last week in the Augustana Twilight with senior Mary Goodwin setting a new program record in the 5,000-meter with a time of 18:51.85 to come in 39th. BSU as a team placed 18th out of 29 teams. It was a loaded field with 357 total runners competing.
Sophomores Maggie McCarthy, Nadia Vaughn and Callie Ressler all competed in the event. Freshmen Hadley Stuehrenberg, Emma Hochhalter, Carmen Lyon, and Sydnie Price ran in their first collegiate meets in Sioux Falls.
Last year the Beavers placed fifth at the Dragon Twilight with Goodwin leading the way coming in 20th. She also set a new program best time in the 4,000-meter of 14:26.66. McCarthy, Carol Miller, Vaughn and Ressler all competed in the meet last year as well.
The 4,000-meter Dragon Twilight will take place inside Nemzek Stadium for the first time on Friday night. The field will feature 16 teams.

Following the trip to Moorhead, the Beavers will get set to travel out to the West Coast and compete in the 48th Charles Bowles Willamette Invitational on Friday, September 29 in Salem, Ore.
