Beavers’ two World Junior participants to meet with fans at BCA Thursday

Pohlkamp and Magnussen to take pictures and sign autographs before Bemidji Girls Hockey game

Bemidji State University Men’s Hockey fans will get the opportunity to take photos and get autographs from two Beavers who recently returned from competing for their respective nations at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship Thursday evening before the Bemidji High School Girls Hockey game against Moorhead High School at the Bemidji Community Arena (BCA).

Gold medalist Eric Pohlkamp (USA) and Kasper Magnussen (Norway) will be set up before the Lumberjacks’ varsity girls hockey game against the Spuds from 5-6 p.m., at the BCA. The two will be available to take pictures and sign autographs with Beaver Hockey fans with Pohlkamp donning his gold medal.

Fans will need to bring something they wish to be signed by Eric and Kasper.

Pohlkamp and Magunussen made history and are the first two active members of the BSU Men’s Hockey team to compete at the World Junior Championship with Pohlkamp the first-ever Beaver to medal at the tournament.

Pohlkamp (Brainerd, Minn.) played in all seven games in the tournament helping Team USA to perfect 6-0-0 record and posted three points off a goal and two assists and held a +3 rating on the ice.

Magnussen played in all five games for Norway earning one assist as the team went 0-5-0 and was relegated to the World Championship Division I Group A.
