Beavers travel to Grand Forks to compete in UND Open
Bemidji State will compete in the UND Open both Friday and Saturday
The Bemidji State University Track and Field team will compete in the two-day UND Open this Friday and Saturday. The meet will open on Friday at 3 p.m. with the pentathlon. Saturday’s events will start around 12 p.m. for the Beavers.
Bemidji State opened 2024 last week in Wisconsin competing in the Twin Ports Open. BSU won five events and posted several top-three results last week. After traveling to Grand Forks this week, the Beavers will go to Duluth on Feb. 3 to compete in the Lake Superior Challenge.
Natalie Fultz will compete in the pentathlon for the Beavers that will begin on Friday afternoon. On Saturday, Bemidji State will open the day around noon competing in the weight throw. Hannah Baker, Emma Erickson, Zoe Lennon, Mikenna Pattrin and Cassidy Schmidt will all compete in the weight throw.
Janice Cole, Abbie Disbrow and Gabrielle Wilson will all compete in the 60-meter. Wilson will also enter the 60-meter hurdles. In the 200-meter, Josie Aitken, Cole and Abby Syverson will compete for the Beavers. Fultz will compete in the 300-meter. Aitken and Cole will enter in the 400-meter. Syverson will compete in the 600-meter. Maggie McCarthy will compete in the 1,000-meter. Carmen Lyon, McCarthy, Carol Miller, Sydnie Price, Hadley Stuehrenberg and Nadia Vaughn will all enter the mile. Mary Goodwin will run the 3,000-meter. In the discus, Baker, Tierra Doss, Erickson, Lennon, Zayda Priebe, Molly Saboo and Schmidt will all compete. Fultz will enter the high jump. Cole and Disbrow will both compete in the long jump. Olivia Olson will compete in the pole vault. Baker, Doss, Erickson, Lennon, Pattrin, Priebe, Saboo and Schmidt will all compete in the shot put. Disbrow will also compete in the triple jump.
