The Bemidji State University Track and Field team will get the chance to compete at both the SDSU Indoor Challenge and the Maverick Premier this week. The Beavers will compete in the SDSU Indoor Challenge on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and Saturday beginning at 11 a.m. BSU will compete in the Maverick Premier #2 on Saturday at 11 a.m.
The Beavers will be sending several student-athletes to compete at the SDSU Indoor Challenge. Mary Goodwin will compete in the 3,000-meter. Carol Miller, Nadia Vaughn, Sydnie Price and Goodwin will all enter in the mile. Hadley Stuehrenberg will enter the 1,000-meter. Janice Cole, Makenna Frazier, Josie Aitken and Abbie Disbrow will all compete in the 60-meter. Abby Syverson, Frazier, Aitken, and Cole will all compete in the 200-meter. Disbrow and Natalie Fultz will enter the long jump. Disbrow will also compete in the triple jump. Aitken, Cole and Syverson will all compete in the 400-meter and Fultz in the 60-meter hurdles. BSU will also send a 4×400 relay team to compete in Syverson, Fultz, Cole and Aitken. Syverson, Frazier, Aitken and Cole will compete in the 200-meter and Goodwin in the 3,000-meter will all compete on Friday. The rest will compete on Saturday.
On Saturday in Mankato at the Maverick Premier #2, Olivia Olson will compete in the pole vault. In the shot put, Tierra Doss, Zoe Lennon, Hannah Baker, Emma Erickson, Cassidy Schmidt and Mikenna Pattrin will all compete. In the weight throw, Lennon, Pattrin, Baker, Erickson and Schmidt will compete for the Beavers.
