Bemidji State Tennis travels to St. Peter for matches against Winona State and MSU
BSU Women’s Tennis returns to action for NSIC matches against Warriors and Mavericks
The Bemidji State University Women’s Tennis team is back in action after a two-week break and travels to St. Peter, Minn., to face Winona State University and Minnesota State University, Mankato in a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches.
The Beavers (1-6, 0-5 NSIC) face the Warriors (7-6, 3-4 NSIC) and Mavericks (7-6, 5-2 NSIC) at the Swanson Tennis Center in St. Peter and will play outside for the first time this season.
Freshman Kate Taylor has played all seven matches at No. 1 singles for the Beavers and is 1-6 on the season. Fellow freshman Valesca Rodriguez has played all seven matches at No. 2 singles and is also 1-6. Sophomore Emilia Sand has played six-of-seven matches at No. 3 and is 1-5 while freshman Ana Lucia Ibanez bas played one match at No. 3, is 1-0 but has played six matches at No. 4 and is 2-4. Laura Burger has played six matches at No. 5 and is 0-6 while Isabela Nelson has played six matches at No. 6 and is 0-6.
The doubles team of Taylor and Rodriguez has played every match at No. 1 doubles and are 1-6 while the team of Ibanez and Sand are 1-5 at No. 2 and senior Sophie Groen and Nelson are 2-1 at No. 3.
