Beavers to compete in Cobber Open Saturday

Bemidji State will compete in the Cobber Open, hosted by Concordia College

The Bemidji State University Track and Field team travels to Moorhead, Minn. Saturday to compete in the Cobber Open, hosted by Concordia College. The meet is scheduled to start at 11:30 a.m. at the Olson Forum.

This weekend’s meet begins with the field events kicking off at 11:30 a.m. with the long jump, high jump, pole vault, weight throw and shot put. The track events will begin at 12:15 p.m. with the women’s 4 x 200 meter race. The event includes collegiate men’s and women’s teams alongside high school boys’ and girls’ programs.

The Beavers have had a change in schedule in the coming weeks. They’ll now be attending the CSB/SJU Open on Jan. 31 in Collegeville, Minn. The following weekend, the Beavers have switched out the UND Open for the NDSU Bison Open, now heading to Fargo, N.D. on Feb. 7. They’ll then attend another couple of meets prior to competing in the 2025 NSIC Championship in Mankato, Minn. at the end of February.
