Beavers to host Marauders for Beach night Thursday

Bemidji State University Women’s Basketball is set to host the University of Mary Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m. for Beach Night. Fans are encouraged to wear their best beach attire for the chance to win a 43-inch smart TV from Midco!

The Beavers enter Thursday on a high note after defeating the St. Cloud State University Huskies, 59-58, on Tuesday. This win created the first season sweep over SCSU in program history, the Beavers grabbing the 2-0 advantage.

BSU holds 14th place in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, marking an overall record of 5-14 this season with a 3-12 record in the conference. The Beavers will hope to remain in the win column over the coming weeks as the season winds to a close.

Leading the Beavers in rebounding is freshman Aubrey Heyer with 5.2 per game. Heyer is just two rebounds shy of cracking the 100-rebound mark.

Following Thursday’s game, the Beavers host the University of Minnesota Crookston for a pre-National Girls and Women in Sports Day Celebration on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
