Bemidji State University Volleyball will begin its 2025 home and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference schedule by hosting No. 6 Southwest Minnesota State University and the University of Sioux Falls this weekend. Bemidji Statecurrently has a record of 3-5 and performed well in the Hampton Inn Invitational, winning nine consecutive sets before their final match.

Southwest Minnesota State University is currently ranked No. 6 in the AVCA with a perfect record of 7-0. They recently won all three matches in a tournament in Pittsburg, Kansas. SMSU averages 15.1 kills per set with a . 269 attack percentage. Leah Jones is the leading scorer with 4.17 points per set, while Sydney Thein has 332 assists. Defensively, McKenzie Tolk has 123 digs and middle blocker Natalie Pilney leads with 24 blocks.

Sioux Falls has a record of 5-3 and is ranked 10th in the NSIC. They recently went 2-2 in the Rosella Meier UNK Fall Classic. The Cougars average 12.6 kills per set. Following this weekend’s games, BSU will play against Minnesota Duluth, Augustana University, and Wayne State College before returning home for homecoming on October 3 and 4.
