Beaver Football Gameday – Game #6 – October 4, 2025 – vs Northern State

BEMIDJI, Minn. — Bemidji State University hosts Northern State University Saturday
for Homecoming weekend. The Beavers and Wolves are set to kick off at 1 p.m. from
Chet Anderson Stadium with tailgating and more planned prior.

Bemidji State Notes

* Bemidji State sits as the only Northern Sun Intercollegiate program without a
conference or overall victory. The team holds an 0-5 record with 0-4 in the
conference and 0-1 in the Northern Division after last weekend’s loss to Minot
State University. The Beavers are last in the NSIC and Northern Division.
* The Beavers average 327.6 yards of total offense per game, grabbing 170.8 on
the ground and 156.80 through the air. The offense is led by quarterback Connor
Carver on the ground with 325 net rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
Through the air, Bart McAninch has emerged as the top quarterback, marking 358
yards in four games, with the majority coming from the last two games. He has also
thrown two touchdowns and allowed two interceptions last weekend. Drayton Lehman
has been the top target for the Beavers, marking 27 receptions for 259 total
yards, averaging 9.59 per play.
* Caden Bolte and Gabe Ward lead the Beaver defense with 32 total tackles each.
Bolte has tallied 25 solo and seven assisted while Ward has found 19 solo and 13
assisted. Owen Dukowitz and Tui Vaivai have been problems for opposing backfields,
marking 3.5 tackles for losses each with Vaivai knocking opponents back 20 total
yards.
* Connor Mantelli is the top specialist on the team with 21 punts for 845 yards,
going three-for-three on the field goal unit and tallying 19 kickoffs for 1091
total yards. Mantelli is currently the Beavers’ leading scorer with 20 points
scored out of the Beavers’ 92 total.
* Zavery Guerra and Drayton Lehman have found the top spots on the Beavers’
kickoff return units, grabbing six for 128 yards and four for 91 yards,
respectively.
* Next week, the Beavers head on the road to Wayne State College on Oct. 11
before spending the next week on a bye.

Northern State Notes

* Northern State University holds fifth in the NSIC with an overall record and
conference record of 3-1. They are second in the Northern division with a 1-0
record against divisional opponents.
* After falling in their first game of the season to the University of Sioux
Falls, the Wolves have gone on a three-game winning streak, taking down Wayne
State College, Concordia University, St. Paul and the University of Mary.
* The Wolves’ offense is led on the ground by senior running back Wyatt Block
with 347 total rushing yards on 53 attempts with two touchdowns.
* Through the air, Brock Bagozzi leads NSU’s quarterback room with a 65.67
completion percentage with 44 completions, marking 551 yards and six touchdowns.
* The lead target for quarterbacks has been Zach Kraft with 10 receptions for
187 total yards and three receiving touchdowns, including a long reception of 75
yards. Kraft averages 46.75 yards per game and 18.70 yards per play.
* Jake Adams leads the defense by leaps and bounds, marking 55 total tackles
with 29 solo and 26 assisted. He has added two tackles for a loss, one sack, one
interception and a pass breakup.
* Jackson Isakson takes the lead on the Wolves punt unit with eight punts for
305 yards. Jeremy Caruso is the Wolves’ top kicker, going four-for-six on field
goals and marking 24 kickoffs for 1472 yards.
* Next week, the Wolves host the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs at 6 p.m.
