The Bemidji State University soccer team used a three-goal first half to gain its fourth win of the season Sunday at Northern Michigan University.
Abby Nyquist (D, So., Golden Valley, Minn.), Mary O’Brien (F, Jr., Maplewood, Minn.) and Bayley Ertl (F, Fr., North Branch, Minn.) each scored and goalkeeper Sonja Barr (Jr., Duluth, Minn.) made a season-high eight saves to give the Beavers the nonconference victory.
The Beavers use the win to improve to 4-0-0 on the season for just the fourth time in program history and the first time since BSU opened the 2010 season with six consecutive victories.
Bemidji State returns to Chet Anderson Stadium Sept. 21 to begin Parent’s Weekend with a 1 p.m. Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match versus Minnesota State University, Mankato.
