The Bemidji State University soccer team heads south as it hits the road for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this weekend. The Beavers will face Winona State University Friday at 5 p.m. before wrapping up their weekend at Upper Iowa University on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Sarah Stram (F, Elk Grove Village, Ill) earned two assists to and Tiffany VanHaaften (M, Sr., Chaska, Minn.) collected two goals help the Beavers achieve two league victory’s Oct. 12-13. BSU won a 1-0 nail bitter against Northern State University Saturday, and came out with a 2-1 win over Minnesota State University Moorhead Sunday. Sonja Barr (GK, Jr. Duluth, Minn.) picked up two wins on weekend making five saves and pushing her record to 6-1-0.

The Beavers are now 9-3 on the season and 6-3 in NSIC play.

Scouting Winona State University
Winona State University hosts Bemidji State with a record of 8-2-2 on the 2013 season. Kati Baker, who has three goals and an assist, giving her seven points this season, leads the Warriors. Goalkeeper Alexandra Vial has been a vital part of the Warriors’ success as she has an 8-2-2 record with six shutouts and an .879 save percentage.
