The Bemidji State University men’s hockey team connected on its first three power-play opportunities Friday at Taffy Abel Arena and cruised to a 5-2 victory over Lake Superior State University.
Led by a three-assist effort from Cory Ward (F, So., Las Vegas, Nev.) and a two-goal night from Brendan Harms (F, Fr., Steinbach, Manitoba, the Beavers snapped an eight-game winless streak.
The Beavers, now 6-11-6 overall and 6-7-4 in WCHA play, look to look to gain their first series victory since a Nov. 15-16 two-game set versus University of Alaska-Anchorage tomorrow when it faces the same Lake Superior State team. The opening faceoff of the series finale is set for a 6:07 p.m.
