Bemidji State was swept at home last weekend, losing 6-0 and 3-1 to No. 2 Wisconsin. The Beavers fall to 2-9-1 against ranked or teams receiving votes in the national polls at the time they played them.

Bemidji State currently sits in fifth place in the WCHA standings with 20 points. The Beavers will face three of the four teams ahead of them in the conference pecking order in the next three weeks. BSU has a record of 1-9-0 against the top four schools (Minnesota, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Minnesota Duluth) in the conference standings compared to 5-2-1 against the bottom half (Ohio State, Minnesota State, St. Cloud State).

About North Dakota
North Dakota (15-5-2, 12-4-2 WCHA) is coming off a sweep of St. Cloud State by scores of 4-0 and 3-1 last weekend. With the sweep, UND moved up to No. 3 in the latest USCHO.com poll which is its highest ranking in program history. UND has been led offensively this season by Josefine Jakobsen who leads the squad 23 points (9g,14a), and Michelle Karvinen leads UND with 13 goals. Karvinen will be playing for Team Finland in this year’s Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. North Dakota has had a pair of underclassmen share the goaltending duties this season. Sophomore Shelby Amsley-Benzie and freshman Lexie Shaw have both seen action in at least nine games this season, and both winning percentages of over .700.

UND leads the series with the Beavers 30-18-3 including a sweep earlier this season in Bemidji, Minn. by scores of 6-2 and 5-1. North Dakota has won 17 of the 19 meetings played in Grand Forks, N.D.
