Senior Kate Warmack (C, East Grand Forks, Minn.) swatted away her 119th career block early in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest at University of Sioux Falls Saturday to become Bemidji State University women’s basketball’s all-time blocks leader. BSU lost the contest 82-73 to move to 8-12 overall and 4-12 in NSIC play.
Just two minutes into the contest, Warmack notched the record-breaking block, just a night after the senior surpassed 1,000 career points. She totaled a team-high 22 points and added 14 rebounds for her 10th double-double of the season and 12th game with 10 or more rebounds. She totaled 25 rebounds on the weekend and with 650 career boards, sits eighth all-time at BSU.
The Beavers look to snap a five-game losing streak Feb. 7-8 when they begin a four-game homestand, as Minot State University and University of Mary visit BSU Gymnasium.
