Freshman Aaron Leintz (Bagley, Minn.) carded an 11-over-par 155 (75-80) to finish 13th and lead the Bemidji State University men’s golf team to 13th place at the Dave Falconer Memorial at Chamberlyne Country Club in Russellville, Ark.
As a team, the Beavers posted rounds of 314 and 317 to finish 51 shots off the lead in 13th place with 631 (+55).
Henderson State University won the event with a five-over-par 580 (287-293) to complete the 36-hole, two-day tournament six strokes under second-place Southwest Oklahoma State University (294-292–586 / +11).
Michael Heane, of Southern Nazarene University, won individual medalist honors firing rounds of 68 and 72 to finish four-under-par at 140.
The Beavers return to action March 30-31 when they travel to Omaha, Neb. to compete in the Quarry Oak Collegiate.
