Bemidji State University women’s outdoor track and field student-athletes Nicole Crummy (So., Argyle, Minn.) and Hailey Horob (So., Williston, N.D.) were announced as 2014 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Athletes to Watch Wednesday as league officials unveiled the NSIC Preseason Outdoor Track and Field Coaches’ Poll.
After posting a personal-best two minutes, 25.30 seconds in the outdoor 800-meter run a year ago, Crummy came on strong during her sophomore indoor season. Competing in the 400, 600, 800, and mile distances as well as the Beavers’ 4×400-meter relay team, she posted BSU’s best times of the season in the 400 (1:05.20), 600 (1:47.53), 800 (2:27.32) and turned in the team’s second fastest mile mark (6:00.29).
