SCOFIELD, HUNT AND BACO EARN CHA WEEKLY PLAYER OF THE WEEK HONORS
NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. — Bemidji State senior forward Tyler Scofield and freshman defenseman Brad Hunt have been named the College Hockey America (CHA) Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week, respecitively for the 21st week of the 2008-09 season. Niagara forward Dan Baco joins the duo earning CHA Rookie of the Week laurels.
Offensive Player of the Week
Tyler Scofield – Bemidji State- SR – Forward – Prince George, B.C./OCN (MJHL)
Scofield earns CHA Offensive POW honors after posting a five point (3g, 2a) weekend for the Beavers. After earning an assist in Friday night’s 3-2 loss to Robert Morris, Scofield was determined to keep from losing on senior night netting a hat trick and assisting on another BSU goal as the Beavers downed the Colonials 6-4. The veteran scored a goal of every kind notching a short-handed goal, a power-play goal and an even even-strengthy marker.

Defensive Player of the Week
Brad Hunt -Bemidji State – FR – Defenseman – Ridge Meadows, B.C./Burnaby Express (BCHL) Hunt was instrumental in the Beavers’ success this past weekend with a five-assist effort for BSU. The newcomer assisted on both BSU goals in Friday night’s 3-2 loss to Robert Morris before tossing in a trio of assists in the Beavers’ 6-4 win on Saturday night.
