The Bemidji State University women’s ice hockey program announced five student-athletes to its 2015-16 signing class Wednesday. Lisa Laiti (D, Fairbanks, Alaska), Natalie Stanwood (D, West Vancouver, British Columbia), Sylvia Marolt (F, Thief River Falls, Minn.), Emily Bergland (F, Thief River Falls, Minn.) and Melissa Hunt (D, Hartney, Manitoba) all signed National Letters of Intent to join the BSU women’s hockey program in 2015-16.
All signees are contingent upon admission to BSU and compliance with NCAA rules, including certification by the NCAA Eligibility Center.
The Beavers, who are 7-4-1 this season, are idle this weekend. BSU returns to the ice when it hosts University of Minnesota Duluth Nov. 28-29 in a WCHA series. The puck drops at 2:07 p.m. both days from Sanford Center.
