The Bemidji State University track and field team will extend its stretch on the road to the fourth consecutive week as it travels to Superior, Wis. to compete in the Yellowjacket Open at the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Events are set to get underway at noon, Saturday.
Last week at The Lake Superior Challenge (Feb. 7), veterans set the pace for the Beavers. Ciara Brewster finished in fourth place in the shot put with a throw of 39-feet, 3.25-inches.
Juniors Nicole Crummy and Hailey Horob both have been having strong seasons. Crummy ranks in the top 25 in the NSIC Performance List in the 600-meter, 800-meter, and 1,000-meter runs. Horob is ranked 16th in the Pole Vault after she cleared 10-6.25 at the Stout Open Jan. 24th.
