The Bemidji State University softball team split a pair of games in its final day of competition at the Tucson Invitational Friday. The Beavers dropped game one to University of British Columbia, 8-0, before rebounding to win game two against Dickinson State University, 6-0. With the split, the Beavers posted a 7-5 mark in Tucson and have an overall record of 9-7 in 2015.
The Beavers will be idle next week as they prepare to open conference play the following week. BSU will get Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) started with a doubleheader at University of Minnesota Crookston March 25. Following the matchups with the Golden Eagles, Bemidji State is scheduled to open its home schedule March 28-29 against Upper Iowa University and Winona State University.
