Bemidji State baseball ended a four-game series against Minnesota State University, Mankato at home Sunday as the Beavers drop the twin bill to the Mavericks by scores of 14-4 and 23-1. BSU lost both on Saturday too. Collin Eckman, who went 4-for-4 with three home runs and seven runs batted in on Saturday, paced the Beavers offense in both games as he went 2-for-3 in both games. Eckman added one RBI in the doubleheader as well.
Bemidji State, now 10-23, 7-11 NSIC, will be back at BSU Baseball Field April 15 for a midweek NSIC matchup against Minot State University before going on the road for eight straight. Game time is set for 1 p.m. in Bemidji, Minn. The Mavericks push to a 23-4 overall and a 13-3 mark in the NSIC with the sweep.
