The No. 9 Bemidji State University women’s hockey team played to a 4-4 draw against Robert Morris University Saturday afternoon. The Beavers (1-0-1-0, 0-0-0 WCHA) were led by senior Hanna Moher who scored a goal and tallied two assists.
Bemidji State saw eight different student-athletes register a point in the game, including Moher and Stephanie Anderson who each recorded multiple point games.
The Beavers got off to a hot start in the game when Moher scored just 35 seconds in to the first period. BSU would tally another goal later on in the period when sophomore Alexis Joyce netted her second of the season at 12:37. The Colonials would stop BSU’s scoring run after tallying a power-play goal late in the period by Mikaela Lowater, and after one, BSU held a 2-1 lead.
Bemidji State will be on the road next weekend when they travel to face the University of Vermont for another non-conference series.
