The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team starts the 2015-16 regular season against Crown College at 6 p.m. Saturday at BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers enter the weekend after sweeping Lakehead University in exhibition play, 79-67 and 70-64, Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

Bemidji State and Crown will meet for the first game of the series all-time.

The Beavers are coming off a 6-22 overall record in 2014-15 and a 2-12 conference mark to finish eighth in the divisional standings.

Bemidji State was selected to finish eighth in the NSIC North and 15th overall in the NSIC Preseason Coaches’ Poll.

BSU won its first two exhibition games against Lakehead University Oct. 31, 79-67, and Nov. 1, 70-64.
