The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team begins its 2015-16 campaign while welcoming in Northland College and Crown College, Nov.13-14. The Beavers will tip-off at 8 p.m. each night at BSU Gymnasium in Bemidji, Minn.
BSU holds a 42-7 lead over Northland in the all-time series, dating back to Dec. 5, 1941. The Beavers are 4-1 in the last five meetings against the Lumberjacks while winning the most recent matchup, 69-59, Nov. 25, 2007 at the Wisconsin-Stout Tournament.
BSU won its only meeting with Crown, 100-60, Nov. 14, 2014 in Bemidji, Minn. Kaylor Zimmerman put up 13 points while sinking 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Shane White grabbed a team-high six rebounds, all as offensive boards.
The Beavers come off an 8-19 record last season, finishing eighth in the NSIC North Division and 15th overall.
The 2015-16 NSIC Preseason Coaches Poll selected BSU to finish seventh in the NSIC North Division and 13th overall.
