The Bemidji State University women’s basketball team will look to continue its momentum from a record-setting performance Tuesday night while hosting Mayville State University at 6 p.m. in BSU Gymnasium. The Beavers (1-0, 0-0 NSIC) scored a program record 110 points in the season opener.
Bemidji State and Mayville State meet for the 36th game in the series history. BSU leads the series 30-5.
The Beavers have won the last nine meetings, including an 82-76 victory in the most recent matchup Nov. 21, 2014. After trailing 42-37 heading into halftime, BSU outscored MSU 45-34 in the final half for the comeback win. Aimee Pelzer scored 14 points while Tatum Sheley (24 points) and Sarah Durand (15 points) also reached double-digit scoring off the bench. Pelzer also set a career-high in rebounds with nine.
