Video – Beaver Fever Friday – Emeline Sevila – Track

Bemidji State University’s Emeline Sevila broke the BSU indoor pentathlon record Friday at the Minnesota State University, Mankato Open and Multi with a score of 3,212 points, finishing second overall. The record was previously held by Taylor Sautbine (3,134 in 2013).

The score provisionaly qualified Sevila for the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Meet.

Emeline Sevila, a junior transfer from Nimes, France finished first in the long jump with a leap of 5.15 meters and had a high-score of 836 points in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.36, a personal best.

Sevila was initially recruited by Coach Kevin Kean while he was at Tiffin University. Sevila never attended Tiffin. Once Coach Kean took the job at BSU, he continued to recruit Sevila.
