The Bemidji State University volleyball team fell to No. 14 Northern State University, 3-0 (19-25, 21-25, 14-25) in Aberdeen, S.D., Saturday afternoon. Senior Jessica Yost led the team with 16 kills will Amanda Tronick followed with 11.
The Beavers fall to 5-13 (1-8 NSIC) on the season while the Wolves improve to 13-4 (6-3).
Each team totaled 41 kills in the match but BSU committed 13 hitting errors to just five for NSU. The Wolves also dominated serving the ball and totaled 14 aces.
Sophomore Jessica Reega added eight kills for the Beavers and led the team with a .615 hitting percentage. Yost led the team with 14 digs and freshman Emma Hallmann followed with 11. Freshman Shelby Haney guided the Beavers attack and tallied 32 assists.
Bemidji State returns home next weekend and hosts Minot State University at the Bemidji High School and then University of Mary for homecoming on Oct. 15.
