The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team makes its non-conference finale against Northland College from BSU Gymnasium. The game was rescheduled from Friday, Nov. 18 and is scheduled to tip-off at 6 p.m.
Bemidji State and Northland play in the 51st game in the all-time series, led by the Beavers, 43-7. BSU has won 20 of the last 21 meetings, including an 84-55 win Nov. 13, 2015 in their last meeting.
Senior forward Ben Best led all scorers with 17 points and added seven rebounds and three steals. Senior forward Will Harvey led BSU with 10 rebounds and two blocks, and finished with six points against the Lumberjacks.
Junior guard Sharif Black led Bemidji State in scoring with 26 points, a career high for the Chadron State University transfer. He scored 14 points in the first half and 12 in the second on 9-of-16 shooting from the field. Black also sank two 3-pointers and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. He paced the Beavers with six assists and three steals.
Six Beavers in total reached double-digit scoring, including senior forward Will Harvey with 15 points. He led BSU on the boards with seven rebounds and added four assists.
