Junior center Sierra Senske flirted with a double-double Saturday night in the Bemidji State University women’s basketball’s 85-31 win against Crown College. Senske led all players with 22 points and nine rebounds, finishing the game 10-of-12 from the field in 18 minutes played.
Senske’s attack on the boards set the pace for the night, as Bemidji State outrebounded Crown 45-25. Senior guard Tatum Sheley was the only other player in double-digit scoring with 13 points. Guards Erica Gartner and Aimee Pelzer helped facilitate the scoring offense with nine assists combined. The BSU defense took advantage of Crown mistakes with 41 points off turnovers in the game.
Bemidji State begins its first Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference weekend Friday, Dec. 2 at University of Minnesota Duluth and Saturday, Dec. 3 at St. Cloud State University. The Beavers tip off against the Bulldogs Friday at 6 p.m. followed by a 4 p.m. start time Saturday against the Huskies.
