The Beaver Mens Hockey team is off to a 4-1-1 start to the season, winning three out of four games on a road trip to Northern Michigan and Anchorage. BSU has only played one home game this season, beating North Dakota in the opener.
Merrimack and BSU haven’t played since the 2007 season. Merrimack swept by scores of 3-2 and 2-1.
This year, Merrimack is 3-6 on the season. The only other WCHA team that they have played is Lake State. The Lakers won twice on opening weekend.
Merrimack split its first series of November, a home-and-home set with Boston College. The Warriors beat the Eagles at home for the first time since February 2013 before falling in the series finale on Saturday night at Kelley Rink.
Merrimack leads the nation in one-goal games played, having done so six times. The next-closest team to have played as many one-goal affairs is New Hampshire (6).
Our pregame coverage begins at 6:30pm CDT, with the faceoff set for 7:07pm tonight on Mix 103.7 and online at beaverradionetwork.com.
