The Bemidji State University men’s hockey team opens the 2019 calendar year with a rare Thursday/Friday series at Bowling Green State University. The Falcons, who are ranked No. 8 in the most recent national poll, hold down second place in the WCHA standings with an 8-2-2-2 record in league play and have not been beaten since Nov 16–a streak spanning seven games and two exhibitions (8-0-1).
Bowling Green owns a 12-7-2 advantage in the all-time series, which includes an 8-2-1 mark at Slater Family Ice Arena.
The Falcons are unbeaten in the last five meetings of the series (4-0-1) and have not lost to the Beavers since a Jan. 5, 2017 contest in Bowling Green, Ohio.
The series will get underway at 6:37 p.m. (CT) Thursday with Friday’s series finale set also set for a 6:37 p.m. opening face off at Slater Family Ice Arena.
