Today, Bemidji State women's hockey looks for a series split with the University of Minnesota Duluth at the Sanford Center. Friday, the Beavers out shot UMD 45-22 but fell short in game one by a final score of 3-2. The Beavers got goal scoring from last year's leading scorer junior center Emily Bergland and a powerplay goal from sophomore left winger Haley Mack. It was Bergland's first goal of the season that sparked the Beavers' offense.
The Beavers will again wear the pink and white jerseys today as BSU teams up with the Edith Sanford Breast Center for Pink The Rink weekend to fight breast cancer. You have until Friday, November 3rd at 5:00 p.m. to bid on one of the 53 limited edition jerseys. Text the word PINK to 71760 on your cell phone to start bidding. All proceeds stay in the Bemidji area and benefit women who are unable to pay for a mammogram.
The Benusa Pregame Show begins at 2:30 p.m. today on KPMI 1300 The Legends and online www.beaverradionetwork.com today. The puck drops at 3:07 p.m.
