Beaver Cross Country to run in NSIC Championships Saturday in Wayne, Neb.
The Bemidji State University cross country program is set to run at the 2019 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championship Saturday, Oct. 26 in Wayne, Neb. The women will run the 6,000-meter race at 11 a.m. at the Wayne Country Club.
The Beavers took a third-place finish Oct. 12 at the Disney Cross Country Classic for its highest finish as a team under Head Coach Kevin Kean. Sophomore Ryne Prigge led the BSU pack for the third straight meet with a personal record time of 18:59.1 in the 5K. She finished eighth among 155 participants while senior Kristen Petron finished behind Prigge in 21st with a personal record time of 19:43.5.
In total, seven Beavers set personal record times in the 5K race, which includes three participating freshmen.
