Beaver Soccer to Host Wayne State and Augustana
The Bemidji State University soccer team will host Wayne State College and Augustana University at Chet Anderson Stadium this weekend.
Bemidji State will begin the weekend with Wayne State at 6 p.m. Friday. The Beavers then take on Augustana in the Cheryl Smith Memorial/Cancer Awareness Match at 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Beavers look to end a two-match losing streak with this weekend’s matchups and avoid dropping three straight for the first time since the 2015 season.
In their last road series, the Beavers were shutout by No. 16 Concordia University-St. Paul and No. 23 Minnesota State University Mankato, 1-0.
BSU is currently 8-4-1 overall with a 7-2-1 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference record.
Wayne State is currently 5-4-4 overall and sits at 5-3-2 in the NSIC. BSU has swept in its last four matches against WSC. Bemidji State is 13-4-3 versus Wayne State since the teams first met in 2002.
Augustana is 11-1-1 overall and 9-0-1 in the NSIC. Augustana leads the series 7-6-3 over Bemidji State. Last time the two teams met, the match ended in a 0-0 tie after the second overtime.
