Bemidji State University women’s basketball travels East Feb. 7-8 for a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference interdivisional matchup against Concordia University-St. Paul and Minnesota State University, Mankato.
The Beavers open the weekend at 5:30 p.m. Friday against the Golden Bears in St. Paul, Minn.
The Series vs Concordia-St. Paul
- Concordia-St. Paul leads the all-time series against Bemidji State, 31-13.
- The Golden Beavers won five straight against the Beavers until BSU, as a No. 8 seed in the NSIC Tournament, knocked off No. 1 ranked CSP in St. Paul, Minn. Bemidji State beat Concordia-St. Paul, 73-70, to advance to the NSIC Quarterfinals for their first postseason win since the 2003-04 season.
- Sophomore guard Trinity Myer and junior center Taylor Bray each averaged double-figure scoring, led by Myer with 14.5 points per game in two meetings last season. During BSU’s postseason win, Bray and junior guard Brooklyn Bachmann led the team with 13 points each followed by Myer with 12.
- The two teams first met in 1978, as both teams traded three-game winning streaks to begin the series. BSU’s longest win streak came between 1985-2000, which included six wins.
