Fabre, Prigge set school records as Beavers complete Baker meet
A pair of Bemidji State University track & field indoor records fell Friday night as the team completed the Frederick P. Baker meet at the Gillett Wellness Center. Senior Analise Fabre broke the Beavers indoor record in the triple jump while junior Ryne Prigge broke the record in the 800-meter run while 26 personal record marks in total were set by the Beavers.
Fabre took second in the triple jump with a leap of 37-feet-00.50-inches to set the BSU standard while Prigge took second in the 800m run with a time of 2:16.05 to do the same. The previous triple jump record (36-11.75) was set by Kylie Monson in 2019 while Prigge set the previous 800m record (2:16.91) in 2020.
Junior thrower Zoe Christensen hit the NCAA Division II Indoor provisional qualifying mark in the shot put while taking two wins in total in the shot put and weight throw.
Christensen’s shot put mark was the second of her season to hit the national qualifying mark as she took first in the event with a toss of 45-feet-03-inches. She also brought home the top weight throw mark with a heave of 54-06.50.
Sophomore sprinter Janice Cole earned a win in the 200m dash with a time of 26.30 seconds while sophomore vaulter Anastasia Klein also earned a win in the pole vault with a leap of 10-04, tying a personal record.
Bemidji State played host to St. Cloud State University and the University of Minnesota Duluth and brought home second in the total team rankings with four event wins and 11 top-two finishes.
