Bemidji State Football Eyes Ninth Consecutive Victory to Close Regular Season
The Bemidji State University Football “Gang-Green” defense once again dominated and held Northern State University scoreless through the first three periods en route to a 24-14 victory over the Wolves last Saturday afternoon in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
With the win, the Beavers (8-2, 5-0 NSIC North) won their eighth consecutive game and clinched at least a share of the NSIC North Division title.
The Beavers will look to end the regular season this weekend in Bismarck, North Dadkota by traveling to U-Mary by winning their ninth straight game, and to hoopefully advance to the NCAA Playoffs for a second season in a row.
Quarterback Brandon Alt’s main connection last weekend was senior Brendan Beaulieu who caught eight passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns and became the program’s all-time career receptions leader after surpassing Anthony Schreiber with 199 career receptions. Beaulieu is now the program’s career receiving yards, receiving touchdowns and receptions leader cementing himself as one of the all-time great receivers at BSU.
Saturday’s kickoff in snowy North Dakota is scheduled for 2pm.
