The Bemidji State University Men’s Golf team was voted to finish fourth in the 2024 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coaches’ Poll announced by the league Wednesday morning. The Beavers garnered 46 points in the poll to sit fourth while junior Logan Schoepp was tabbed as the Beavers’ Preseason Golfer to Watch.
Minnesota State University, Mankato was voted as the preseason favorite garnering 59 points and six first-place votes while Winona State University finished second (55) and Concordia University-St. Paul was third (49).
Schoepp returns for his junior season with the Beavers after earning All-NSIC Second Team honors in 2023-24 and was an All-American Scholar in the classroom. In 24 rounds last season, Schoepp finished second on the team with a 75.0 scoring average and posted two top-10 finishes including winning the 2023 BSU Invite at Bemidji Town & Country Club. At the NSIC Championship, he led the Beavers shooting 221 (+5) to tie for 9th among the 44 golfers.
The 2024-25 schedule the Beaver Men’s Golf Team kicks-off Sept. 9-10 when the Beavers host the 73rd annual Bemidji State Invitational at Bemidji Town & Country Club. The Beavers will golf in four tournaments during the fall season.
