No. 25 Minnesota Duluth defeats Beavers 3-0 Tuesday
BSU Volleyball falls in three sets at No. 25 Bulldogs
The Bemidji State University Volleyball team fell in three sets on the road Tuesday night at No. 25 University of Minnesota Duluth. The Beavers fell by scores of 17-25, 10-25 and 16-25.
The Beavers totaled 29 kills in the match including 12 in the third set but were out-matched by the Bulldogs who totaled 34 kills on the night.
Senior Lauren Sitter paced the Beavers with 10 kills, two shy of a season-high while fifth-year senior Rylie Bjerklie followed with five. Freshman Ava Athman added four kills on the attack while also leading the team with three service aces. Senior setter Emily Wade earned 18 assists coordinating the Beavers’ attack.
Defensively junior Jada Wlodarczyk led the Beavers with 13 digs while Wade added six and junior Kylie Struble contributed five.
Bemidji State falls to 5-12 on the season and 0-9 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action while the Bulldogs improved to 11-8 (4-7 NSIC).
The Beavers continue play on the road and travel to Minot State University and University of Mary this weekend for two more NSIC matches.
