Season #26 Is About To Begin

Bemidji State University Football has been slated at #19 in this season’s D2Football.com Preseason Top 25 Poll. Last year, the Beavers finished the season at #9 after the team’s first trip to the NCAA Division II Playoff Quarterfinals in history.

The D2Football.com Top 25 Poll is determined by votes from members of the D2Football.com staff as well as select members of the media. The 2025 season kicks off with defending national champion Ferris State at the top. The Bulldogs were a unanimous choice for number one, earning the top spot on all ballots. GAC co-champion Harding lands in second place, followed by MIAA champion Central Oklahoma in third. Minnesota State, a national semifinalist in 2024 and Kutztown, defending PSAC champion, complete the Top 5. The D2Football.com Top 25 will be updated every Monday from Sept. 1 to November 17. The Final Top 25 will be released one day after the national championship game.

The Beavers open the season Thursday at 5pm at Michigan Tech. Last year, the Beavers beat Tech on the Opener 19-13 in overtime at The Chet.

This year marks the 26th season that the Beaver Radio Network has covered the Beavers. Once again, Kevin Reid will call Beaver Football, and Beaver Basketball. Rob Aitken will cover the BSU Women’s Hockey team. Brian Schultz will cover BSU Men’s Hockey. Brian Bissonette will again be the analyst for Football and Men’s Hockey.

Brian Schultz and Kevin Reid will both cover BSU Soccer, Volleyball, Baseball, and Softball.
