The Bemidji State University men’s basketball team played host to Crown College in its season home opener Friday night taking the game 100-60.
A slow start put the Beavers behind Crown College with the Storm having at one time a nine point lead over BSU. The Beavers came back regaining the lead in the first half and in the second half never broke below a 28-point margin once reached.
Brock Lutes led the Beavers action totaling 24 points, hitting 10-of 14 from the field and 4-of-7 from three range. Lutes also charted three rebounds, two assists and one steal in his 26 minutes of play.
Bemidji State (1-0, 0-0 NSIC) will be back in action Friday, Nov. 21 as it continues its home stand playing host to Mayville State University. Tip off is set for 8 p.m. from BSU Gymnasium.
