The Bemidji State University volleyball team defeated Minnesota State University Mankato 3-2 (32-30, 25-17, 18-25, 14-25, 15-11) Saturday afternoon. Junior Jessica Yost tallied a career-high 28 kills in the match, the second highest mark in the program’s history since kills were recorded since 2001.
Yost also recorded her seventh double-double of the season after recording 14 digs, and junior Amanda Tronick led the Beavers by hitting at a .341 clip and had 17 kills. Four Beavers recorded double-digits in digs, including senior Kayla DeJong who led BSU with 17 digs. Setter Ashley Kiecker coordinated the Beavers attack and had a career-high 51 assists in the match.
The Beavers will have their final road trip of the season next weekend when they travel to Northern State University and Minnesota State University Moorhead.
